Restrictions & Safety Check contradictory

How do I use account restrictions to prevent my child from using the new safety check to reset account passwords or Apple ID and bypassing restrictions? They also removed my phone number as a trusted number.

Yes, I’m very familiar with screen time restrictions and have most of these options set to do not allow on my child’s phone.

But when my child’s phone updated to iOS 16 the new safety check feature that Apple added to the privacy section on settings, allows anyone to bypass those account settings set to “do not allow” and change the Apple ID setting and password setting. Even though I have it set to “do not allow changes.

Your copy and paste answer is not helpful.

Yes.

And that copy paste is not helpful either.

Apple lies.

The only restriction safety check can’t bypass when all the screen time restrictions are set to “do not allow” changes is turning location services completely off.

But of course if you can reset the Apple ID settings and/or password then this will disable it in a round about way until you sign in again.

not to mention when they do change the password thru safety checks or remove a device from your he restriction Apple doesn’t even send a notice to any of the emails associated with that account.
