iPhone raw files on mac

I cannot view iPhone 12 pro raw files in photos app on my mac. ????

RAW photos on iPhone 16 Pro I took some photos this morning on my new iPhone 16 Pro Max in Raw (or so I thought…) The camera app was configured to shoot in raw, the photos appear in the Photo app in raw, but when I transfer them to my Mac (through an iCloud folder or by airdrop) they appear in jpeg format. I transfer all data from an iPhone 15 Pro, and it created DNG files. What am I doing wrong?

Edit RAW images on iPhone When I import images directly from my SD card to my iPhone, the images indicates [JPEG+RAW]. However, when I attempt to edit the image, the editor in Photos only treats the image as a JPEG. Is there a setting somewhere to edit RAW images in Photos? If not, are there other tools to edit RAW photos that don't require a subscription?

The picture is scrambled. Its a shame if I cannot un-scramble the photos. I imported them into Photos app on my MacBook pro. Even on my iPhone 12 pro i could not view my images I had took because they were scrambled, not viewable,
