Hello Ktcafe,


The only means to possibly recover your texts would be through Messages in iCloud.


  1. Go to the Settings app.
  2. Tap your name.
  3. Tap iCloud.
  4. Turn on Messages.


If that was not enabled on your former iPhone, or you used iCloud but deleted the texts, then unfortunately the texts would no longer be available.
