Notes not syncing from MacBook to iPhone or iMac for gmail account

I had the same issue as you specifically with my gmail notes from my phone not syncing to my mac. I was able to resolve the problem by:

1. Remove the gmail notes in your internet account settings (just uncheck the box)
2. Re-check the box for notes along with the box for calendar
3. Open calendar, two finger click and "Refresh All"

After doing this, the notes appeared for me.

The steps below can resolve the issue. If you haven't already, you might them:

Update macOS on Mac - Apple Support

(macOS 12.2.1 is the current macOS version as of our reply.)

Create a note in Notes using the iCloud website to see if the new note delays in syncing to your iPhone. Creating a note here creates it directly at the source, and it will be a good determination of whether the syncing issue is with your Mac or iPhone.

Use Notes on iCloud.com - Apple Support

If the new iCloud note doesn't immediately sync to your iPhone, you've successfully narrowed it down to your iPhone connection. Try standard troubleshooting, testing a new note in between, to see if it helps.

• Restart your iPhone
• Test with another network (Wi-Fi, cellular, etc.)
• Toggle Notes off at Settings > [your name] > iCloud Notes for a few minutes
