Restoring IPad 6 Question

Hello Community, here is my question:

I have backed up my IPad 6 and am in the process of restoring the IPad. When I complete the restore and wipe my IPad completely back to Factory Settings, if I then choose to download an app then restore my backup to my device, will I still have the app I downloaded before restoring the back up?

Apps themselves are not included in your iCloud or iTunes backup. A “record” of installed Apps - and any data associated with the individual Apps - is included in your backup.

When you restore the backup to your device, Apps will be automatically installed for those Apps that are both available and compatible.

Apps that you purchase/install from the Apple App Store are forever associated with the AppleID from which the App was purchased. As such, you can download and re-install the App, without additional cost, for as long as the compatible App remains available within the App Store.

Restoring your iPad to Factory Settings, or erasing all content and settings from iPad settings, will erase everything - including Apps installed from the App Store. You can reinstall purchased Apps when signed-in to the App Store with the AppleID used to make the original purchase.

I hope this is the information and clarification that you seek.

Hello,

That is helpful thank you. So here's my situation. I have an app before I restored my device that was broken. I restored my device as a last result to fix the issue related to it. I am in the process of downloading the app right now before I restore my backup. When I restore my backup, will the back-up version of my app that was broken be restored or will the working version of the app that I downloaded before restoring the backup overwrite the backed up broken version?
