Ventra Card in Apple Wallet not working with new SE 2020

I recently switched to a new (used) iPhone SE 2020 (Gen 2). My Ventra card, which has been properly added to my Apple Wallet, will not work on any of the busses or trains I have tried to board since switching to the new phone. I removed the card from my old phone's wallet, and have tried other Ventra cards that were not on any previous devices, but nothing has worked. I've turned express transit on and off. Ive restarted the phone. I've signed out of my apple id account and signed back in. No success.


The reader will show "card not read" but my phone will vibrate, make the little ding sound, and show a check mark, as if the card has been processed.


I have been able to use the Chase card in my wallet at stores without issue.
