How do disable Calendar app (and Siri) from linking appointments to specific Contacts

When manually entering a new Calendar appointment, or using Siri, that includes a name, you always have to select someone from your Contacts, which is annoying as a requirement. (i.e. "Siri, create calender event, Lunch with Steve Tuesday at 1130am", which triggers a prompt to ask you which of the 25 Steves in my Contacts).


Is there a way to disable this feature?

We understand you'd like to disable Siri Suggestions. You can do this so that Siri does not suggest contacts. Take a look at the following resource under the section titled "Turn Siri Suggestions on or off for an app" that will help with turning off Siri suggestions:
