ipad storage

Looking to buy an ipad. It is advertised as having 256GB memory storage capacity, but it only has 64 GB of actual storage. What does this mean? Would it be possible to upgrade the capacity at a later date?

Presumably you are currently looking at the fifth generation iPad Air.

The iPad Air5 is available as either a 64GB or 256GB internal storage capacity. As the internal storage of an iPad is fixed for the entire life of the device, you would be well advised to purchase a model with adequate storage for your needs.
