I just got my Watch 8 series. It is not pairing with my iphone 12. I get to the watch has update. Then it appears to pair but instead unpairs and having to start over again & keeps doing the same thing?

Are you running IOS 16?
Try deleting the Watch App, restarting the phone then downloading the app again.
Then try again. But you need to be on IOS 16 or newer
