Difficulty swiping on the iPad

I have been having difficulty swiping on my iPad.


I have to press pretty hard to make it move from screen to screen, and Siri Suggestions pop down from the top at times.


I cleaned the screen, but that didn't help.

The steps found in the following guide can help with the issue you're experiencing with swiping between screens: If the screen isn't working on your iPhone or iPad - Apple Support


If your screen is too sensitive or responds intermittently to touch

1. Restart your iPhone or iPad.
2. Make sure that your screen is clean and free of any debris or water.
3. Disconnect any Lightning or USB-C accessories. If your screen works after removing an accessory, try using a different outlet, cable, or charger.
4. Remove any cases or screen protectors.


If you are still having trouble, let us know more so we can keep looking into this:


  • Does this happen while using a certain app or on the Home screen?
  • Do other gestures work as expected?
