Safari Reader View not printing graphics - update

As a followup to the discussion in the post Safari Reader not printing images - Apple Community,

I checked the post by davidwhthomas and could verify that this is indeed caused by javascript. If you disable javascript using the Developer menu after entering Reader View, all of the graphics in an article will print or save to PDF as expected. I'm not fluent in HTML or javascript but Apple should look at how Reader View handles graphics javascript commands. Apple Support techs have confirmed to me in a past support call that this is an issue. Still waiting for them to fix it.
