Battery Cycle Count increased automatically even when I didn't charged

I just Got MacBook Air M2 and Its just placed on my desk for a day and now I am using the battery which was around 86% when I got it. The current battery percentage is 32% and its showing that my battery cycle count is 3. Would please explain how it got increased automatically. From my understanding cycle count is usage of battery from 0-100.

MacBook Air, macOS 12.6

Cycle count is basically eye candy and not especially useful. The important metric is remaining capacity. If below 80% Apple recommends you replace the battery.
