My messages takes up 61GB in documents and data I don’t know how to delete it

When you tap the “Messages” row at the bottom of your screenshot, you will see more and more granular breakdowns of what’s occupying the space. At some of these granular levels, you will see “Edit” in the upper right with the opportunity to select some rows and delete their contents.
