Microphone muted
My microphone is muted in iMessage and Siri does not hear me when I speak. How do I fix this?

If the microphone isn't working with both Messages and Siri, let's work through the following steps to see if this changes anything. You can also find additional helpful steps here: If the microphones on your iPhone aren't working - Apple Support
If the microphone doesn't work in a specific app
1. Go to Settings > Privacy > Microphone.
2. Make sure that the app is enabled.
3. If the app has permission to access your microphone, or if it isn't listed, contact the app developer.
In addition to giving those steps a try, be sure you're up-to-date with the latest iOS version. If an update is available, be sure to back up your information before installing it. For assistance with backing up or updating, check out this resource: Update your iPhone or iPad - Apple Support
