iPadOS 16 update problem

Even do my iPad is the 7th generation I can’t update to IPadOS 16. I tried restarting and checking internet connection idk what to do

Only the iPhone version of 16 is currently out. Wait until later this month.

The iPad version of OS 16 has not yet been released. Apple states it will be available in October.
