Macbook Air M2: Split-screen issue with Preview App

Hey, guys! I’d like to ask my fellow Macbook Air M2 users if you have this issue where the Preview app lags when you try to open a file and split screen it? Also, is there this thick black line when you get half of the split screen process completed?

I was hoping to know because I’m experiencing this issue with mine. I wanted to get it checked if it was just an isolated case, or if it’s actually something everyone experiences.

Thanks!

MacBook Air, macOS 12.6

Hi Loombandz,

Thanks for using Apple Support Communities. Do you only experience this issue with Split View and Preview? We can have you try starting up your Mac in safe mode to see if the issue persists. Keep in mind that starting in safe mode will take a little longer than normal, because it verifies and repairs the directory, cleans caches, and loads only Apple-critical items: How to use safe mode on your Mac - Apple Support
