If you enter the wrong passcode on your iPhone Lock Screen too many times, an alert lets you know that your iPhone is disabled. (Learn what to do if you see "[Device] unavailable" or "Security Lockout" on your iPhone or iPad.)

Iphone xr - the lock out occured whilst I was charging the phone. Its been restored now to about 1 week ago but I have lost some valuable info> LOL Why does not apple do something about this as it is quite a commom occurrence! LOL oh for 6Plus
