If you're having issues charging your device, you can start with these basic steps: If your iPhone or iPod touch won't charge


Test different USB cables and power adapters. If the issue is that the device doesn't recognize chargers at all (no lightning bolt on the battery icon when charger is attached) then you'll want to check the charging port on the device for any dirt/debris/pocket lint that may be packed in there.


If you're trying to determine the health and capacity of your battery, you can do so here:


  1. Go to Settings  > Battery.
  2. Tap Battery Health.
