Apple Ipad Pro Black Screen

I got a renewed IPad Pro for Christmas 2021 from Amazon. I had it a few months and all of a sudden when watching a video or doing anything else in it the screen goes black. I have to touch the power button and then the home button to get it back one, but before I can get back into the program I was in it does it again. I can't even get into the settings to to a reset. I have tried to reset it and also did the hard restart, but nothing seems to help. Any other suggestions would be appreciated.
