how long should it take to transfer my iPhone information onto the new iPad Air?

Got a new iPad Air. Did the automatic transfer from iPhone to iPad. Still transferring information. Been a little over 2 hours and says still transferring. How long should this take?

MacBook Air 13″, macOS 10.14

That would depend on how much data is being transferred and how strong your WiFi signal is.
