Messenger is buffering on my iPad.

How do I get messenger to work on my IPad?

Can you clarify what you mean by "buffering"? Is the app opening but not loading any content? If that sounds right, you may want to try connecting your iPad to another internet network to see if that may help it load properly.


If that doesn't help, please try each step below as it may help resolve this issue:

  1. Force quit the app: Quit and reopen an app on iPad - Apple Support This will cause the app to relaunch and may help it load properly.
  2. Make sure the Messenger app is fully up-to-date: How to manually update apps on your Apple device - Apple Support You'll want to ensure that the latest app is running on your iPad, as it may help.
  3. Backup your iPad then delete the app: Remove apps from iPad - Apple Support Once that is done, reinstall the app: Redownload apps and games from Apple - Apple Support This will delete the app from your iPad and reinstall a fresh copy of it back onto your iPad.
