Cellular Plan for Multiple Apple Watches

If I have more than one Apple Watch synced to my account, does each one need its own cellular plan, or do they share the plan based on whichever one I'm using at the time?

It does not automatically transfer. YOu can do it manually by remove fro the one watch and adding to the other watch.

I just bought an Ultra and still have a S6 cellular watch. When I first setup the Ultra I restored it from backup and selected to use plan on the Ultra.

When I switch watch the S6 connects to the phone as expected but there is no cellular plan and thus no cellular service on the S6.
