Embedding files in excel Via MacBook

I am trying to embed files saved on my MacBook Pro in an excel spreadsheet.

when I go to insert -> object the pane is empty ( no file list to choose from or anything ). I don’t have adobe acrobat reader on my Mac but I thought apple preview should do the job ( only trying to embed my files and then export them, not trying to open files sent to me).

please help, thanks

Hi uri247,

For help with third-party applications, the information below found in the article from the Microsoft Support website here might assist: Insert an object in your Excel spreadsheet

"Only programs that are installed on your computer and that support OLE objects appear in the Object type box."

You can also reach out to Microsoft Support directly to further assist: Welcome to Microsoft Support

Cheers.
