First Aid from Recovery
I ran First Aid and got "First Aid found corruption that needs to be repaired. To repair the startup volume, run First Aid from Recovery."
How do i do that ?

Hold CMD+r keys on startup, choose Disk Utility from the Utilities menu up top.

OK, forget the OSX Base system, highlight Apple SD TS02... &run first aid then repeat forMacintosh HD.

thank you for your help. i did the above, and i got this image below: i didn't know what to do at this point, so i clicked on 'First Aid' and it ran and finished. so then i ran the original Disk Utility First Aid again just to be sure .. and i got the same message as before ... telling me to frun First Aid from Recovery. maybe i was supposed to do something besides click on the 'First Aid' when i got to that point ? thank you for your patience with me ...
