iBank 4.7.5 replacement

I migrated my Quicken data to iBank in 2008. I now have 24 years of financial history tied up in iBank 4.7.5. I can not upgrade my mac from Catalina because of iBank. Is there Any banking program that will let me migrate all my data from iBank and run on Monterey.

What the problem is is that you have not kept your banking app (iBank 4.75) up-to-date. Yin 2016 IGG Software the developers of iBank upgraded and updated iBank to Banktivity. The current version of Banktivity is 8.8.1 which is what I have installed on my iMac running Monterey, it runs well. Periodically you should be checking your banking software for updates, 1-2 times a year would probably be just fine. I STRONGLY recommend that you reach out to IGG and ask them about the upgrade path from iBank to Banktivity. Upgrading and staying up-to-date will solve your needs.

iBank changed their name to Banktivity -- you may want to contact them to see if they offer a way to convert to their current version. See: https://www.banktivity.com/contact_us.php

They had an option to go from iBank 4.75 to Banktivity 5 but I'm not sure that still works with Banktivity 7. See: https://www.banktivity.com/support/articles/ibank-5/how-do-i-upgrade-my-ibank-4-data-to-ibank-5/

At some point in the future you will need to move beyond Catalina, so I think you should try to find a way to EXPORT your iBank data to Excel or at least text format. I don't use that software so don't know what options it presents, but here is some information that might be relevant:

Easy to do, this developer (and others too) don't participate in the App Store ecosystem so you have to manually check. If you have trouble remembering a suggestion is to create a calendar reminder to advise you. For example, set something up for May 15 and November 15 2023 to check for Banktivity updates and then also setup these events up as a recurring events in the Calendar app so you remember 2024, 25, etc...
