Recover photos deleted when phone was reset

Hi

My iPhone 12 Pro Max froze multiple times during an update to 16.0.2 (20A380).

The Apple Store employee reset and erased my phone.

Is there any method to recover photos that were on the phone that were not backed up to iCloud?

As an aside, I am astounded that Apple's only solution is to erase a phone when it becomes stuck on an Apple update.

But I am seeking help on recovering the deleted photos.

Thanks

Hi there A Silverstone,

While the person who helped you would've answered these questions during your visit, we may be repeating things they've already explained to you.

As you already know, any photos not synced with iCloud Photos(provided you had it enabled) wouldn't be in iCloud. That being said, if you have a recent backup on either a computer or on iCloud, your photos may be stored in there. This does require a restore from the backup, which would erase whatever is on your iPhone currently and replace it with what was in the backup when it was made.

If this sounds like something you'd like to do, here are the steps to take to Restore your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch from a backup
