Multitasking within Google Docs

With the new split view feature, is it possible to have two documents open on google docs simultaneously side by side? I know that if I use chrome, this is possible by having different tabs open. However, I like using the app so much better. If not possible, would this be worth asking google? Thank you :)

Multitasking Windows only work for Apps that are running locally on the iPad - and then, only for Apps that fully support the iPadOS multi-window environment.

If accessing Google Docs via a web-browser, such as Safari, you can have multiple open Docs on screen. If using Google Apps installed on your device, the Apps themselves must support iPadOS multitasking.

If you need assistance with Google Apps and their use, you would be best advised to seek assistance from Google’s App Support teams - and Google’s own extensive help pages.
