hello this is James T Mebane, I’ve been trying to update some apps on my phone and Every time I try to update it keeps sending the two step verification code to the wrong phone number, I put it down as my dads number before this phone had its own number and I can’t figure out how to change it to my own. I’ve created several accounts on this phone, all trying to figure out how to solve this problem and I’ve had no luck.
If you can get a code and sign in, you need to change/add the number on your Apple ID. Look in the Security section when signed in online. You may have to add the new number before you can remove the old number. After the change, allow up to 24 hours for the change to sync. Before trying to make the change, sign out of Messages/FaceTime on all devices/computers.
