iPad Air 5 cellular 5g drops and reconnects over and over

I have the iPad Air 5 cellular from att and I updated to iOS 16 after updating I have been having issue with my 5g connection I will be using my iPad and I will get no connection and then after 30 to 60 seconds or so it will reconnect to 5g and will work for a while with no issues. It has done it 1 minute after reconnecting and then sometimes it can stay connected for 10 minutes before it does it I have reset network connection reformatted my iPad and it just keeps doing it. If I put the iPad so it stays on lte it will not have any issues at all. But since I bought the iPad cause of the 5g I would like to use it. I have a couple Apple devices that have 5g and the service at my house is great. Not sure what to do besides taking it to an Apple Store and having them do the same things I have done. Is anyone else having this issue and did you get it fixed. I have searched for this issue and can’t find anyone with it.

Are you running a beta version of iPadOS? If so, you should have full expectation of encountering issues and bugs. While iOS16 has been released for iPhone, iPadOS16 for iPad is not expected to be released as a production version until later this month - and even then, you may expect to encounter some issues.


The Terms of Use that govern participation within the Apple Support Community preclude discussion of beta versions of software and/or issues encountered therein.

iPadOS 15.7 is the most recent and current production release.


If you are running production versions of iOS for iPhone (i.e., iOS 16.0.2) and iPadOS 15.7, please clarify if your difficulties are with your 5G Cellular hotspot - or 5GHz WiFi connections of either the iPhone, iPad or both.
