After upgrading to iOS 16.0.2 the battery percentage is displayed in a tiny unreadable font on the battery icon. Is it possible to revert to the previous format, namely, battery strength displayed in a reasonable font on the lock screen?

Use one of the battery widgets that are available when you customise your lock screen
Create a new style photo based lock screen pair then add the widget which will be there right in front of you, then modify thr home screen if you want different photo
The only option right now is to turn it on and off
OK thanks, almost there. I want to keep the flower photo that I'm currently using for my lock screen, and I added a battery widget for my watch, but can't find one for my phone.
