My iPad 9th generation does not recognize the iOS 16 upgrade
How do I upgrade to ios16 — my iPad does not give that option to me

The iPadOS 16 update has not yet been released. It's set for sometime this month, but is not out yet.
Only the iOS 16 update for iPhones was released last month.
