Is it possible to disable tracking notifications for decices from family members/friends?

So you all know how this works; you receive a notification that there is a “(AirTag, AirPods, unknown device, etc.) Found Moving With You” when a device with the capability of tracking your location is found traveling with you for a while. This is certainly a great feature for protecting one’s privacy, but the problem is I have a brother who owns both an AirTag and a pair of AirPod Pros, and I always get these notifications when I’m near him (and so do all my other family members too). Additionally, his AirTag will randomly make a noise make its presence known since both it and me/my family’s iPhones think that it’s tracking without consent, which is annoying to him. Now I’ve noticed that there are a few options I have to fix this: either disable notifications for a day (and have to keep doing this every day), permanently disable the feature (which is risky because I would want to know if I really WAS being tracked), or disable the device in question. I can think of a couple solutions: you can have the option to disable tracking for individual devices instead of just disabling the feature altogether, or even better, since these devices are linked to an Apple ID in most cases, how hard would it be to have the option to disable tracking for devices from one person/Apple ID? I could simply choose to have tracking notifications on for real threats, but ignore specific devices/people such as my brothers devices that cause false alarms/annoying notifications. If I’m mistaken and there currently is an option to do so, could I receive some pointers as to how, since I couldn’t find anything after scouring the internet and my iPhone? Thank you in advance

`Hello Mac_84,

Welcome to Apple Support Communities.

The steps as listed here can assist you in what do when you get these alerts: What to do if you get an alert that an AirTag, Find My network accessory, or set of AirPods is with you - Apple Support

  • If you have an iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch, Find My will send a notification to your Apple device. This feature is available on iOS or iPadOS 14.5 or later. To receive alerts, make sure that you:
    • Go to Settings > Privacy > Location Services, and turn Location Services on.
    • Go to Settings > Privacy > Location Services > System Services. Turn Find My iPhone on.
    • Go to Settings > Privacy > Location Services > System Services. Turn Significant Locations on to be notified when you arrive at a significant location, such as your home.
    • Go to Settings > Bluetooth, and turn Bluetooth on.
    • Go to the Find My app, tap the Me tab, and turn Tracking Notifications on.
    • Turn off airplane mode. If your device is in airplane mode, you won't receive tracking notifications.
  • If you don't have an iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch, an AirTag that isn't with its owner for a period of time will emit a sound when it's moved. This type of notification isn't supported with AirPods.
  • If you detect an unknown AirTag, Find My network accessory, or AirPods, use the steps below to learn about it, find it, and disable it. If you're using an Android device, you can download the Tracker Detect app to find an AirTag or Find My network accessory that's separated from its owner and might be traveling with you.

Take care.
