i have an unlimited text/talk/data plan covering Canada and the US. When in the US, I can make calls to US numbers, but I don’t RECEIVE calls from US numbers unless the number is in my Contacts. Focus is not enabled, and resetting the network settings hasn’t helped either, Help!!😁

Contact your cellular data provider.
Yep, seems that a conversation with the cellular provider could be helpful.
Never heard this before, maybe it's because of a voicemail or some dodgy call forwarding
Trying to contact the provider (Telus) is an exercise in futility. Other Canadians have this issue as well, and it’s not just with the one cellular company.
