"macOS 10.13 won't be supported after October 2022. To continue using Drive for desktop, upgrade to a supported OS before October 31, 2022."


This will kill support on a lot of still working, still incredibly useful Macs (All iMacs before 2013) that were cut off from Mojave over Metal support.


You want to believe that Google is doing this because it will make Google Desktop a better, less crash crone piece of software, but we all know dropping support for 10.13 means nothing. It's not like they are dropping Mojave or Catalina support. Dropping Mojave would be significant as they could use universal code with Catalina, but that's not happening (not yet).
