Mount(2) function c

Can somebody provide an example of how to use MNT_UPDATE to update a readonly volume that has already been mounted

ps. I'm not using system(), I would like to learn how to use mount

iMac 2.0ghz, Mac OS X (10.6.4)

I've tried


 struct hfsmountargs some_data; 
 
 
 some_data.fspec = strdup("/dev/disk0s2");
 int res = mount("hfs", "/", MNT_UPDATE ,&some_data);
 
 
 NSLog(@"%d %s",res,strerror(errno));

It returns 0 but then it says no such file or directory.

Nevermind the code provided above works.

I do however have another question is there a way to identify which partition in /dev contains Mac OS X
