Access location

I’m in Adelaide, SA but when I do my two factor authorisation it says my account is trying to be accessed in Darlinghurst NSW, thousands of kilometres from me. I’m a little edgy about approving it because of the countless number of times I’ve been hacked. I’m wondering why it would show up in NSW and not in my actual location? Is it safe for me to approve? In anticipation, thanks for your help.

If this is an e-mail you received, or a popup on the screen,  about the time you were actually logging in, there is probably nothing to worry about. The location is where your ISP reported it. If their servers are in a location distant from you, there will be a large error. Based on other posts I have read, the distant error can be very large.
