Google Maps 3D view grayed out in Safari

Has anyone else had this issue?

Also, when zooming in & out, it's very choppy.

I noticed this issue a week or two ago.

2020 MacBook Pro M1 running macOS Monterey 12.6 and using Safari 16.

Hey there jjo239,

While this seems like an issue for which you'll need to contact Google Support about, we'd like to rule out some possible causes:

  1. Sometimes unexpected behavior can be resolved with a restart. Check out the section 'Restart' here: Log out, sleep, wake, restart, or shut down your Mac
  2. If you have a compatible Mac model, the latest version is macOS 12.6. You can verify this by clicking on the Apple logo at the top left corner of the screen, then on ‘About This Mac’. This link will show how to first back up, then Update macOS on Mac.
  3. Have you already tried clearing your Safari history, then load the Google Maps website afterwards? Check out: Clear your browsing history in Safari on Mac
  4. Any issues while using the Maps app in your Mac?

Cheers.
