Percentage deduction formula

Hi everyone - trying my best here to simplify paper work by using numbers. Looking to use a formula to find the following answer…. I’ll add numbers for the sake of the example. I am looking to break it down in 2 steps.

Subtotal amount 2180.00

Step 1: in cell B3, i want to identify 13% from B2 (2180.00) In theory this « unknown formula » would give me a value of 283.40 as the 13%. Which would appear in cell B3 where I would enter this formula.

step 2: I would like to add a formula in B4 where the calculation is cell B2 less B3.

thought it was easy to figure out, maybe for some, but not for me!

A (2180.00) less Cell B (in this case 283.40)

Giving me a new total in cell C of 1896.60.

Here the needed formulas

Based on your region the , or the ; will be used to separate the different sections of a formula. If you write one thousand as 1,000.00 then the , is used as your formula separator. If you write one thousand as 1.000,00 then the ; is used as your formula separator.

Hope this will solve your question, please let me know if this worked for you or if something in unclear.
