Apple ID Email changed (Hacked )

Dear All,

I got and email stating that my Apple ID email was changed. On the bottom of the email it states that if it wasn't me that changed I should change the password. So immediately tried to log in with no success it states that my email isn't associated with any Apple ID (that's because the hacker changed it ).

This was an old Apple ID account so I didn't have 2fa setup on it. Nevertheless I find it hard to believe that apple doesn't have a solution for me. I have spoken to 3 support agents and all tell me that there isn't anything they can do. Does anyone here have any experience with this issue ?
