Voice to text is not working . The microphone is enabled and works in other apps, just not messages.

I have tried ALL of the suggestions from Apple, YouTube, etc. My microphone works everywhere EXCEPT to voice text in text messages and email. There HAS TO BE A PROBLEM. And I can see that others are having same problem during same time period. That suggests a problem overall for iphone 11 (I am on iOS 16.0).
Agreed. Mine is broken too. It’s awful. Tried all the recommended fixes and no luck.
Same for me with iPhone 11 Pro. Worked great up until yesterday
I’m having this exact problem with my iPhone 11 Pro Max. All the correct settings are on. But now talk to text & Siri voice activation are not working.
I had turned on restrictions in my screen time. Once I got rid of that, I’m able to fully use it again.
Exactly and my voicemail is not longer there either.
My iphone did an update to 16.1.2 the other night and my microphone now works! Hope it lasts!!!
Shucks I tried that but it didn’t restore Voice-to-text for me :(
All I had to do was turn the phone off and back on again.
My microphone stopped working after it was updated last night . Won’t work on google or texting .Siri is the only thing that it works for . Not happy tryed everything
Same problem - can't talk to text. Dictation is enabled
Mine worked one second and the next it didn't! Talk to text microphone stopped working in the middle of a text conversation! Not able to get it working again, tried shutting down, etc.
Mine not working either!
Try General > Software Update, and see if there is software update you can download for our phone. That fixed this problem for me.
