How to update my iMac to Monterey?

I purchased an imac 27 on October 5th of this year and when I received it, it was a late 2013 model. it had Catalina OS and having problems installing Monterey OS on it. Also, it seems I can't update safari either. I would like help on how to bring this up to date.

A late 2013 iMac cannot be upgraded beyond Catalina. See the following from Identify your iMac model - Apple Support

iMac (27-inch, Late 2013)

Model Identifier: iMac14,2

Part Number: ME086xx/A, ME088xx/A

Latest compatible operating system: macOS Catalina 10.15.7

There was a security update for Safari but it can only be installed on Big Sur and Monterey. See: Apple security updates - Apple Support

I would recommend using a 3rd party browser such as Chrome that supports their current version while using Catalina. See: https://support.google.com/chrome/a/answer/7100626?hl=en
