LG HDR WFHD

Hi!

An external display that I already used in the past with a Mac Airbook 2015 is overheating my professional mac (MacBook Pro 16-inch 2019), and it's almost impossible to work there connected due to slowness.

I found some related articles, but their resolution is unavailable for my display, and I think this problem is weird for a recent Mac. Any tip?

I also tried to connect with teamviewer, and changed the resolution and also the framerate down/up but the issue stays the same. I can run the display with HDMI, but just with lower resolution. PRAM/SMC reset was done already. Oh I tried different cables as well, but it might not be the problem, as the cable worked before the upgrade. Any ideas how to solve this? Thank you!

Macos Ventura display issue Hi, I have two Macbook pro (2021 M1, 2019 Intel Chip). After upgrading to Ventura 13.5.2 I found issue with external display resolution. After upgrade in display only following resolution is displaying for external monitors: 1920 x 1080 - Default 2560 x 1440 3840 x 2160 Earlier I was using 2304 x 1296. I reseted NVRAM on Mac 2019 Intel chip model and issue resolved, I was able to see my desired resolution. For M1 chip I don't have any option to do this. Could you please help me to resolve this issue ?

Unusable Macbook Pro when connected to external 4K LG Monitor I have a Macbook Pro 16 inch 2019 - 2,6 GHz 6 Core Intel Core i7. Whenever I connect it to my 4K LG monitor via USB-C (the monitor is also being charged via this connection via the monitor) and conduct video calls or sharing of my screen via Slack, Google Meet or Discord the machine tanks and is basically unusable. The fans are on pretty much all the time and it gets very hot. If I disconnect the external monitor and do the same thing, it works fine, the fans don't even come on! So it looks like the USB-C connection to the external monitor is the issue. I have it set to display at 60Hz as suggested in other posts, but this doesn't solve any of the problems. I was curious if getting an HDMI adapter and connecting via USB-C > HDMI Adapter > LG HDMI might improve the situation ? Or is this just a problem with this version of Intel based Macs? Do people still experience these issues on M1 / M2 Macs ? Thanks in advance!
