Can't reboot, or shutdown Mac.

Two days and Microsoft StatefulFirewall still downloading. Can’t reboot, nor shutdown mac.

I didn't request that and can't tell what app is doing it. Could be McAfee for T-Mobile? Have to hold ON button to shut down manually.

Stateful firewall install I can’t shut down my Mac due to a stateful firewall instal message. Nor can I do any updates to other apps as it says install in progress. I can’t force quit either as it keeps popping up and won’t shut down. Someone suggested removing Macafee. I have just renewed my subscription. If I do this, do I need other virus protection? It’s a sole use home laptop Mac book air. Thanks
