I bought a mac pro m1 Max today and after setup the device I want to add the fingerprint and when I put my finger on the sensor nothing happens and the color of the fingerprint lines on the screen does not change to red as it is supposed, but it remains as it is any help please?

The current stable release of Monterey including bug fixes, is macOS 12.6 — I would start there
