How to register for warranty without receipt?

You should not need to register it at all.

You can enter the serial number at https://checkcoverage.apple.com and verify the Warranty status there.

Then you will need to get the receipt / invoice to verify the date or purchase.

There's no other way to verify proof of purchase if you can't actually prove when it was purchased.
