How is Instagram tracking my activity in the Reddit app?

I have set all apps to "ask not to track." I guess the keyword there is ask. So how do users know an apps response after we ask it not to track us? Instagram is certainly monitoring my activity in the Reddit app, as well as in other places despite all the security precautions I have taken.

Impact of iOS 17.4 Update on social media app I keep getting pop ups that say You’re on iOS 17.4 this version requires us to ask for permission to track some data…. we limit the use of this information if don’t turn on this device setting. I had to delete snap chat as I couldn’t access it and despite trying lots of things couldn’t get the app to access my camera. I stopped receiving texts as well. I have turned my phone off and on multiple times….. so frustrating. [Re-Titled by Moderator]

Track Apps to request to track is grayed out Under Privacy and security the ask apps to request to track is grayed out for some reason. Ive read other solutions such as sign out of media and purchases but thats only a temp fix. I met all criteria im over 18, the device isnt managed by a school or business. And my apple wasnt created 3 days ago

Are you logging into the Instagram only through the App on the iPhone?

Please check the App Tracking options on the iPhone. --> If an app asks to track your activity - Apple Support

Instagram is not an Apple Product. Contact the app developer here --> App Support or Instagram Help Center
