My phone get stuck in update cycle when trying to pair watch to new iPhone

My new iPhone gets stuck in an update for my Apple Watch series three and I’ve tried everything I know to fix it. Any tips ?

MacBook, macOS 10.13

Apple Watch Series 3 unable to update to watchOS 8.6 I just got a new iPhone 13 pro and I had a series 3 watch and it gets stuck during the update.. I got a new phone and my watch is stalling. It won’t do anything but keep the apple with the white ring around it on the screen. What should i try to get the update to finish so I can pair the watch with the phone Apple Watch won’t finish the update so I can pair it to a new phone?
