MS Office on High Sierra 10.13.6

What version of MS Office can be installed on a Mac running High Sierra 10.13.6 ? Also how much disk space has to be on the hard drive? Thank you. (I know this Mac OS is not supported any longer)

Everything prior to the current Microsoft 365, Office 2019, or Office 2021 for Mac has been retired by Microsoft and the license servers for those retired suites are disabled. The unretired suites currently require Catalina or later and once Ventura is released, expect Microsoft to require Big Sur as the oldest installation platform.

So, no means to install MS Office on High Sierra in your present circumstances, though Softmaker still supports High Sierra with their MS Office clone Office 2021 which natively opens Microsoft documents. There is a free trial.

The free LibreOffice Suite (Office clone) is another option though it will have a steep learning curve, has ample PDF documentation, and is mostly compatible with MS Office documents. It currently supports High Sierra through March 2023 when it will require macOS Mojave for new installations.
