Apple Music Background Activity Draining Battery

I've had this issue for years where I'm not using Apple Music, but my battery has been continuously draining throughout the day due to Music / Background Activity. I was hoping that the latest iOS would fix things, no luck. The only solution I've found was to just remove the Music app completely. But I'm paying for Apple Music and would like to be able to use it. I use Apple Music almost exclusively via Car Play and to stream a "radio" station. I think what is happening is that when I disconnect from Car Play there is something in the streaming that keeps going in the background but there are no logs or activity monitors so I'm unable to diagnose any more than flipping a setting and seeing if it helps. So far, nothing helps. I was going to try setting up a separate VLAN to see if there is any repeating network traffic, but I really shouldn't have to do that.
