Hey there esossaman,

Thanks for reaching out to the Apple Support Communities. To get started, do you by chance sync your contacts with iCloud? If so, check out the steps in the following resource on how to create and manage groups of contacts in iCloud: Create and manage groups of contacts on iCloud.com - Apple Support

Create a group
Groups are listed in alphabetical order, with All Contacts at the top of the list.
1. In Contacts on iCloud.com, click the Show Add Menu pop-up button in the sidebar, then choose New Group.
A new group is added, with a placeholder name.
2. Type a name for the group, then press Return or Enter.
To change the group name, double-click it and type a new name in the text field.

Add contacts to a group
When you add a contact to another group, the contact also remains in the All Contacts group.
1. In Contacts on iCloud.com, click All Contacts.
2. Drag one or more contacts to another group on the left.
You can add a contact to more than one group. Drag the contact to each group you want to add it to.

If you use another third-party email account to sync your contacts, you may need to reach out to that email provider for steps on how to set up contact groups.

We hope that's able to help.

Have a great day!
